Indian katar, 17th to 18th c, double edged steel blade, triangular frame with a pearled edge and a central decoration of feathers in a line, made of chisel and high-relief, hilt with an arabesque decoration, floral motifs and a pair of Japanese pagoda in gold koftgari, scabbard metal covered completely pierced through making a pattern of engraved and silver incrusted foliage with two gold incrusted birds at the centre of the composition. The hilt is completely covered with an arabesque decoration, floral motifs and gold koftgari Japanese pagodas.Rare pierced iron scabbard with engraved and silver incrusted foliage.
