The Green Girl, Jack Williamson

The Green Girl, by Jack Williamson - Avon Fantasy Novels: science-fiction novel about a weird land beneath the earth, where women are green and men are octopus-rose-snake hybrids.

Had to quickly revisit Lou Fine. I love how his heroes and heroines share equally in the action, and are often both portrayed as sex objects. The spacewoman here is fighting for her life and not just terrified and in distress. Also, love the shear horror of the other alien creatures crawling out of the soupy river and onto land to join the attack. Gorgeously handled.

Planet Comics No. Fiction House Magazines - Planet Comics is said to be the first comic to specialize in science fiction.

Fantastic Adventures - The Lavender Vine of Death
