Northern Dancer (May 1961 – November was a Canadian-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and the most successful sire of the Century. The National Thoroughbred Racing Association calls him "one of the most influential sires in Thoroughbred history".
Tweebster, a Tapit gelding, has been euthanized after fracturing the sesamoids in his left front leg during a Dec. 30 claiming contest at Santa Anita Park.
