☆ Ankh Cross Decorated » Also known as Key of Life, the Key of the Nile. It represents the concept of Eternal Life. The ankh also used to represent the planet Venus, the namesake of which, the Goddess Venus or Aphrodite. Mirrors were also often made in the shape of an ankh, symbolize a perceived view into another world. Additionally, an ankh was often carried by Egyptians as an amulet, either alone, or in connection with two other hieroglyphs that mean Strength and  Health. ☆

Ka-Aper, Egyptian Museum, Cairo. 5th Dynasty; reign of Userkaf, 2513 – 2506 BC. This is the oldest known life-size wooden statue in ancient Egypt. Carved of sycamore wood, it was discovered at Sakkara in the mastaba tomb of Ka-aper which lies west of the pyramid of Userkaf. It represents a khry-heb (lector priest) named Ka-aper, who is depicted in a realistic style with a neat hair cut, a round face and full cheeks.

AMENHOTEP II was the son of Merytre-Hatshepsut & husband of Tiaa.  He was the 7th pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty.  Amenhotep II was much less warlike than his predecessor but managed to hold together his predecessor's territorial gains.  He was not the intended heir, but when the intended heir died, he was named high priest over Lower Egypt & put in charge of the dockyard in Memphis.  He also claimed awesome physical strength in rowing & shooting.  Amenhotep II ascended the throne at age 18.

A LATE PERIOD BRONZE GROUP WITH IMHOTEP   dynasty xxx, 380-343 b.c.   On an integral base, the deified Imhotep enthroned, his feet together on a trapezoidal plinth, the sides of the throne decorated with faint floral patterns, wearing a long pleated kilt and a tightly-fitted cap crown, holding a papyrus scroll, protected by two couchant lions, a kneeling worshipper between, his hands upraised in offering  4¾ in. (12 cm) high
