Captured German A7V at Villers-Bretonneux, France. The A7V was intended to be used together with troops of a Sturmabteilung, racing over relatively flat terrain. The British tanks were too slow for this job but the A7V could manage almost 15 km/h (9 mph) until it reached a trench.

Fiat2000. Mounting a turreted main gun and seven machine guns, the Fiat 2000 was Italy's first indigenous tank design and, some think, the best heavy tank design of WWI. Production, however, came too late for combat in the Great War, and only six were produced. They saw service fighting guerrillas in Libya in 1919, where they proved too slow to keep up with combat troops.

The British Mark V tank was an upgraded version of the Mark IV tank, deployed in 1918 and used in action in the closing months of World War I, in the Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War on the White Russian side, and by the Red Army. Thanks to Walter Wilson's epicyclic gear steering system, it was the first British heavy tank that required only one man to steer it
