Johann Rattenhuber, was a German police officer who became the head of Adolf Hitler's personal security in the nazi regime. He was an SS-Gruppenführer and head of the Reichssicherheitsdienst (RSD) security service. He was in Hitler's bunker in Berlin at the end of World War II, and he was captured by the Soviets and held until 1956, when he returned to Germany.

As commanding general of SS 1.Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler in the closing days of the war, he took parts in last major German offensive launched in March 1945. Krumm surrendered his division to the Americans on May 8, 1945. In civilian life, he was a successful businessman and a founder and first president of the Waffen SS veterans organization HIAG. He died in 2004.
