37. A BIBLIOTECA LAURENZIANA Sus paredes, de escaso grosor, imitan las fachadas exteriores debido a su misma disposición arquitectónica. Tienen UNA FUNCION DECORATIVA. La presión de las vigas del artesonado descarga sobre las pilastras, que enmarcan las ventanas y los vanos ciegos, formando todos ellos dos órdenes: la inferior rectangular y la superior cuadrada, y lo hace de tal modo que parece ser ornamento.
