You Know You're A History Fan When: You walk past a field and wonder what happened there in the past 200 years. This goes for house, buildings, people, streets etc.

John Gilpin, an amateur photographer was trying out a new lens on his camera with the taking off a DC-8 on the Sydney-Tokyo flight.  He was surprised by the horrible image of a body falling into the vacuum when the landing gear bay were closed.  Keith Sapsford hid in the receptacle in the hope to travel and see the world, but the wheels got all the room and pushed him in the vacuum.  This happened in February 1970.
