Edvard Munch. Madonna. 1895-1902. Lithograph and woodcut. This is another piece that I selected because I only knew one piece by the artist, The Scream. This piece caught my attention right away because of how dark it is, color and emotion. It took me a couple of minutes to realize the meaning behind it all. I also found it interesting that there are many versions of this piece. The colors, medium, and borders change from piece to piece.
