Light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul.” Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov.

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov.

The Catcher in the Rye - Recommended for mature AP High School readers due to language and mature topic matters.

The Catcher in the Rye

Catcher in the Rye, another book I read in high school that stayed with me. It's such a good read. Holden Caulfield is so troubled, but he gets help! It's a great book.

I have read the covers off the paperback at least five times. I now have it Kindled.

This was the first Stephen King book I ever read and it led me on a magical reading journey of his other books. The original Stand was a real page turner, mesmerizing and stirred the imagination.

Lolita - Vladimir Nabokov (Vintage). Nice, but do we need that overplayed quote on the cover?

This is one of the most beautifully written books I have ever read. The subject matter is uncomfortable at times.but the book is really about Nabokov's love affair with the English language. It's spectacular. It's an all-time favorite for me.

32 Books That Will Actually Change Your Life

Play It As It Lays is a story about Maria Wyeth, a Hollywood actress who has lost control of her life and identity. It’s a tragic read.

"os livros são os mais quietos e constantes dos amigos; são os mais acessíveis e sábios dos conselheiros, e os mais pacientes dos professores."

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible & wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers ---Charles W.
