A diamond belle epoque tiara of 1903. Worn here by Alexandra of Cumberland, niece of Queen Alexandra, who went on to marry into the Grand Ducal family of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Featuring nine, upright, pear-shaped diamonds, with foliate spacers, set on an open-work band of diamonds.

Alexandra of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Nee Hanover, also had an much larger emerald topped tiara. Designed as a series of nine diamond motifs each topped with a pear-shaped emerald and raised on a platinum band.
