Defining MAKERSPACES: What the research says: After receiving criticism that my space was not a real makerspace, I decided to draft my own definition and take a look at how research defines makerspaces.

Welcome to the Makery by John Des Roches. The White House commissioned a study which found American students were falling behind in STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). WELCOME TO THE MAKERY is the story of three New York City educators and their efforts to create a makerspace where students  develop the skills and imagination necessary to face the challenges of tomorrow.
