LEON, Castile and Leon, Spain - The walls of Leon's Gothic cathedral were built with more glass than stone. There are 125 stained glass windows, three giant rose windows and 57 oculi. This city was once an important stop for pilgrims on the Road to Santiago. Parador San Marcos is one of Leon's main attractions. It was built to shelter knights and pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela and is now a hotel.
