Portrait of 22-year-old German Fallschirmjäger (paratrooper), Toni Schneiders, undergoing military training. Schneiders was born on 13 May 1920 in Urbar, Rhein-Hunsrück. After photography courses from 1935 to 1937 in Coblenz, in 1939 he was drafted into the Reichsarbeitsdienst (Reich Labor Service) and served at the front in Italy and France.
