Joseph Meister was born on February 1876 and died on June 16, 1940.  In 1885, when he was 9 years old, he was bitten by a rabid dog. Louis Pasteur treated him with the rabies vaccine which he had prepared by growing rabies virus in rabbits, weakening them afterwards through drying. He had experimented successfully with this vaccine on dogs. He treated Joseph Meister with this vaccine and treatment was an historical success.

These people were in Pompeii when Mount Vesuvius erupted. The eruption released tons of pumice, a light volcanic rock. It completely buried the town and the people. Under the pumice, the bodies were preserved. -- That's creepy
