Un café sil vous plait! Actually a rare sight this sign. Contrary to the myths, most Parisian & French waiters are very polite (until you start to annoy them, then they have a sarcasm superpower).

A little compliqué because this street is divided into two parts: the initial part called Rue Saint-Honoré (1er) & the second part, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré (8e) – which essentially means Saint-Honoré Street outside the walls of the city. Today it’s just one street but Faubourg is where the massive fashion houses are – Versace, Hermès, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, Valentino – & the Rue Saint-Honoré is where the smaller boutiques are - the part I love!

Rue St Honoré -Quite appropriate that we stayed on a street named after the patron saint of bakers.

The Galerie Vivienne | This gallery was one of the most popular shopping spots in the second half of the 19th century. It almost sinked into oblivion in the 20th century, until Jean-Paul Gaultier decided to open a shop there in 1986. It is now one of the prettiest galleries in Paris and the place to go if you want to take a trip back in time to La Belle Époque.
