One of my most fave in architecture, the Nordic national romantic era with its typical stone and wood in mix as construction materials. Tampere Cathedral | Tampereen tuomiokirkko, Tampere, Finland.

The Tampere Cathedral was designed in the National Romantic style by Lars Sonck, and built between 1902 and 1907. The cathedral is famous for its frescoes, painted by the symbolist Hugo Simberg between 1905 and 1906. The paintings aroused considerable adverse criticism in their time, featuring versions of Simberg's The Wounded Angel and The Garden of Death. The altar-piece, representing the future resurrection of people of all races, was painted by Magnus Enckell.

Old factories On the left, Finlayson factory, on the right Tampella. Finlayson was a textile factory, luckily there are still Finlayson textiles, and factory store in Tampere... but factory itself is in another use nowadays. (Museums, cafes, restaurants, etc) Tampella was linen factory, and also mainly they produced iron and steel machines etc.. Nowadays factory buildings are mostly in museum use.
