Claudia Cardinale in 'The Leopard' by Luchino Visconti, 1963. Only Tosi & Visconti have brought the past alive with such flair & sensitivity. Many designers try for this level of finish but it always eludes them.

Luchino Visconti: Il Gattopardo. Most of today's designers would overdress a ducal family. Visconti, from a grand aristocratic background, knew that during the day such a family would dress modestly and quietly. They had nothing to prove. This tone was perfectly caught by Tosi.
