Corinaldo, in province of Ancona, is included in the club "I borghi più belli d'Italia". The "Pozzo della Polenta" is so called because a legend tells of a farmer who sat on the edge of the well to rest during the tough climb and inadvertently fell inside together his sack of flour. The flour is mixed with water and the farmer desperate yelled help. The people who heard him told to not despair and to prepare a nice polenta so they all ate together and made a big party.
