There are hundreds of drinking fountains scattered around the city of Rome. The water runs continuously and its totally safe to drink. I don't ever remember seeing bummer.

Apian Way

Remains of the Via Appia Antica in Quarto Miglio, near Rome. Via Appia was one of the earliest and strategically most important Roman roads of the ancient republic. It connected Rome to Brindisi, Apulia, in southeast Italy.
