D.Petito was a pretty popular Jewish artist model in accademy art classes and artists' ateliers in Rome (Italy), in the sixties. All models had nicknames, and he was known as the "Circumcised David", as he was said to look like the Michaelangelo's model for his famous David statue would have looked alike... -- but the statue of the David is not circumcised as he is instead ("he" was the regular). This old archive photo should have been taken circa 1967, at Temple school of Art, in Rome.
