The tomb of Stavroupoli is the largest, best preserved and most impressive Macedonian tomb in Thrace.Based on its architectural shape and the findings discovered in its interior it dates back to the first half of 4th century B.C. The tomb’s atrium is 3.13m wide and 2.12m long. The door that leads to the burial room was closing with two large door panels. The Macedonian tomb of Komninos is the best preserved and most impressive tomb found in Thrace.
