A small homage to Manuzio, Griffo and Vignelli for Kerning 2015 notebooks. Typeface – brand new Nordvest Italic – by Nina Stössinger. Letterpress printing by Archivio Tipografico. Graphic design by Maurizio Piacenza. Logo by Enrico Stradaioli.
Aldo Novarese, disegnatore di caratteri. Italian type designer, he worked for Nebiolo type foundry first and then as a freelance designer. Really prolific, he probably designed more than 200 typefaces. He died in 1995. This caricature is my "two-cents-homage" since I really like his typefaces.
Cut it out! is a campaign & fundraiser launched to spread awareness about epilepsy and surgery for epilepsy. A t-shirt with no explicit references to the campaign, only a logo. It conveys a profound meaning per se, since it represents a neural network with abnormal activities on the left side, and a normal neural network on the right side, separated by a cut: the surgery. And purple is the official colour of the International Epilepsy Day. Buy a t-shirt!
