USS Langley (CV-1) in the Panama Canal, 16 November 1924. She was the first USN aircraft carrier having been converted from the collier USS Jupiter in 1920. Another casualty in the fall of Indonesia. She was sunk on 27/02/42 in a final attempt to deliver desperately needed P-40s to Java.
