Surfing classroom theme

Surf's Up Behavior using a clip chart in the shape of a surfboard. Goes great with a beach-themed classroom! All students start on Surf's Up and can move their clip up with good behavior (to Hang Ten or Super Surfer) or down when they break a class promise (to Rough Waters, Tidal Wave, or Wipeout)! To match our "Around the World" theme, my classroom door was inspired by tiki-huts, surf shops, and the beach! The overhead structure was made from cardboard and covered with strips of manila paper!

We are continuing our summer theme! Today we made pattern surfboards. We worked on AB and AABB patterns to make our own original surfboards. We also reviewed stripes, solids, and polka dots.
