2016 Topic 9: Mono Printing Vickie Porter Hi everyone, Darcy here we are with the start of another topic, this time we are mono printing. This is the technical term for creating 'one off' prints, and there are many ways to do this. The name 'mono' means single, and in this case it means a single print can be made at a time. 𝔹𝕚𝕣𝕘𝕚𝕥 𝕂𝕠𝕠𝕡𝕤𝕖𝕟-𝔹𝕖𝕣𝕟𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕚𝕟 🇳🇱 on Instagram: "I just can’t stop making these flower prints. They are so much fun to make and they are getting better I think. In this print Chrysanthemums were turned into Daisies 😂 but I love the end result. The details and colors worked out so well! I might frame this one! 🖼️🌼 * For this print I used my 8”x10” @gelliarts gel printing plate and @araacrylics * I added a few drops of slow dry medium (Ara) in the first layer * I let every layer dry before adding a new layer * The paper is 300gr Bristol * I left the paper on the plate until everything was completely dry * I turned the whole package over and peeled the plate from the paper instead of the paper from the plate to keep it flat and avoid folds/wrinkles Thanks so much for Jelly Printing, Jelly Print, Birgit Koopsen, Gelly Plate, Gelli Printing Tutorials, Gelli Printing Techniques, Gel Printing Plate, Gelli Plate Techniques, Gelli Printing Art

I always hope, when I have a bouquet of flowers that one or two of them will last longer than the rest, and then when it’s time to dispose the bouquet I can use those to print with 😅 But guess what? For some flowers the fake ones work just as well, you won’t see the difference in the print, they last “forever” and can be use over and over again. I cut off the stem and then bend it for better grip. Here are some details about the process: I used the 5x7” @gelliarts gel plate and @araacrylics paints I let the first layer dry completely before painting the flowers I applied 2 layers of paint Gel Plate Art, Prints To Paint, Gel Plates, Gelli Printing Tutorials, Monoprint Art, Gelli Printing Techniques, Happy Easter Weekend, Gel Plate Printing, Gelli Printing Art
