My name is Lucie Kruta and five years ago I got the idea of capturing transformations of my growing children a little more creatively. I started to take pictures of my kids in the style of famous paintings. The first photograph was actually a coincidence.

Even though most people are spending their days isolated at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, it doesn’t mean that life has suddenly become boring and uncultured. On the contrary, since people are temporarily banned from visiting their favorite art galleries and museums, they are bringing them home for themselves by recreating art pieces with whatever objects they have at home.

If there’s anything positive that came out of the worldwide pandemic, which turned out to be the biggest public health crisis in modern history, there must be a few things. More time for yourself and others is one. Rethinking your values is two.
