Finally, the mouse house is in the wall!

The weekend of the 20th June, I took a couple of hours off to take the children to see a wonderful, magical garden belonging to good friends of my Mum and Dad. Mozu may be just 20 years old, but the artist is already crafting awe-inspiring miniature worlds. Works like "The Stairs of the Dwarf" take four months to complete. The artist’s recreations of his bedroom, telephone poles, and “my working desk” show a knack for recreating the everyday in diorama format.

Mouse House built into wall at baseboard when building or remodeling real house. 1":1' scale roombox, open in front, placed in wall before sheet rocking. Diagram position of door and window, grab a glass of wine and cut through sheet rock for openings. Battery lit by doorbell. Kitchen items, calendar etc. Let kids find it themselves, wonderful faces. Adults must lie on tummy to see inside, makes for cute pictures.

I just found this wonderful book, "The House That Mouse Built" by Maggie Rudy & Pam Abrams. It is just so lovely and clever! This is a picture of the inside of the book cover.
