This manuscript is a fine example of the use of the scroll format. Containing three separate images created using black, red, and green, inks. Two of the images are painted on a Yellow Ochre background. The Umbilicus is a modern replacement. Image: Public Domain

Description A recent medieval border commission.

This scroll was drafted by Maria del Monte for Avacal Royal scribe HL Fionnghuala ingen Chellaig and painted by HL Alyne of Kendal. It is a new design for Their Highnesses Kirk and Brynja of Avacal, and has not yet been awarded. It was a lot of fun to paint. Apologies for the slight parallax distortion.
