Oil on board, 8"x6" Looking through some photos from the beach last summer, I decided I had to paint this one.

Gouache on watercolor paper, approx. 7" x 9" From my archives (meaning, I did this a couple of years ago and forgot I had it). I was at the Sachuest Wildlife Preserve, near Newport RI. I really like gouache because it dries fast and can be worked over immediately, or re-wet and wiped off. When I was an illustrator I did a number of still life paintings at home to improve my skills with the medium and with painting things like flowers. Oil on panel, 5" x 7" I have been a member of an artists' co-op for almost 2 years now, located in the town of Warren RI and called "Made in Warren", even though most of the artists don't have studios in Warren. But, we are all residents of nearby towns. This painting is currently part of my display there, framed and ready for hanging. Stop by if you can, there's a lot of really nice work for sale. (And, we're looking for new members.)
