I was surprised to discover that I hadn't done a tutorial for a basic gatefold card considering they are so easy to make and so popular amongst card-makers. There are many different variations on the gatefold card, but the basic idea is to create a card that opens like a gate or door, with two side flaps and a central opening. 1. Start with a card blank. Gate fold Card

I made this card for a customer's card class I held yesterday. It is a gate fold card. I love different types of card styles and this one is super easy for such a lovely appearance. The folded card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Start with a piece that measures, 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". Then score along the 8 1/2" @ 2 1/8" on each end of the of 8 1/2" length. Angled Gate-Fold card with a latch closure; template & video tutorial

I shared these cards last night on my Monday night Stamp with Me Live. They're called Angled Gate-Fold cards. These first two cards feature the Painted Christmas designer paper, the Thinking, Thanks & Peace stamp set & Seasonal Label dies.
