8.8K views · 1.3K reactions | This is one of my favorite ways to create a turned edge for appliqué. ❤️ (I think it’s called a faced technique.) I’m using a lightweight nonwoven fusible interfacing. My favorite one is Quilter’s Select Cutaway. It’s very sheer but strong and doesn’t tear easily. You can also use Pellon 907F which is similar. These hearts are about 2.5” and my favorite part is turning them right side out using a wide straw and a ballpoint bodkin. Once the hearts are made, you can fuse them onto your project and then appliqué by hand or machine.
