2002, oil on canvas, framed 26x31 Lt. John Godfrey from Woosocket, RI and Capt. Don Gentile from Piqua, OH fly their famous P-51 Mustangs of the 4th Fighter Group, 336th Fighter Squadron. By virtue of their mutually supportive tactics they would become the 8th Air Forces most celebrated fighter element shooting down 38 enemy aircraft including six in one mission, 1944.

Don gentile was one of the highest-scoring American aces of WW II. he flew a P-51 Mustang with the 336th Fighter Squadron of the 8th Air Force.
