Take a look at our most recent projects: Watercolor Flowers and Clay Sculptures (based off the Terracotta Warriors of China). Sculptures will be fired at the end of this week and ready for "staining" early next week. Students did a fabulous job on both of these projects! Mid-quarters should reflect all projects completed so far except for the clay sculptures. This project will be graded after the firing process.

This week we hope to get our clay wall pockets in the kiln for the first firing. We need to glaze and second fire before winter break! So of us would like these to give as gifts... Starting with a slab, we imprinted textures into the clay and folded them to create a pocket. Slipping and scoring holds the pocket together. We plan on adding a wire hanger later too.
