Language: Basque is another language spoken in Spain. The language is spoken in the northern part of the country. As seen in the map above, you can tell that the area where Basque is spoken is very small. The Basques are some of the oldest peoples in Europe. These people were very isolated and therefore the Basque language is known as a language isolate, a language that has no genetic relationships to other languages. Only 3% of the Spanish people speak this language.
