I just acquired a vintage Life Savers Sweet Storybook - Volume 1. The very first release made. The best part, it came with eight of the original roll wrappers! I don't have any wrappers from the 1940's so this was a great chance to add that decade to my collection. Most interesting though, is this roll which is a flavor I didn't currently have: Cola! I would guess that Cola was discontinued sometime in the 50's.

Here is a lovely old Pepsi bottle label, that apparently comes to us from 1940's Canada. I wasn't aware that soda bottles ever had labels like beer bottles did, but some of them must have, if this is any indication. Considering its' age, I got this pretty cheap. The Ebay seller likely has a lot of them, as they put up a pair every once-in-a-while. Still, it's classically styled and a neat item with a neat design.
