A boabab tree (Adansonia digitata) is also known as the tree of life. It lives in the dry savannas India and Africa. It can grow up to 80 feet tall, and up to 40 feet in diameter, with compact, irregular crown, and can live for several thousand years. The medicinal properties of the baobab fruit are the stuff of African legend, and the fruit is becoming popular in Europe.
