Sagittarius A* — The supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy
The very first image of the black hole at the centre of the Milky Way Galaxy a.k.a Sagittarius A*! As a physics undergraduate who not only hopes to do a PhD in Astrophysics but also study supermassive black holes like this one, this is absolutely amazing! (I may or may not have stared at this image for a good 20 minutes with my jaw on the floor.) So what are black holes? Why is this ‘orange blob’ so significant? And what does all of it mean?
