A rare Berlin-Suhler Waffen und Fahrzeugwerke (“BSW”, formerly Simson & Companie) gas operated semi-automatic prototype serial number 9A, a competitor to the P.38 considered by the German military in the 1936-37 test trials. Several variations were assembled, and this double-action only version has a sheet metal slide, a matted alloy frame, and a single-column staggered 8-shot magazine. The pistol is unmarked on the left side of the slide.
