Tullio Crali, Study for a Woman's Dress. In 1920 Volt published Manifesto della moda femminile futurista. In Volt's manifesto, woman is now a principal agent of revolt, a "walking synthesis" of the audacious, performance oriented aesthetic of the Futurist universe. He announces that "women's fashion has always been more or less Futurist." The Futurist hymn to progress reaches new extremes ("Women's fashion can never be extravagant enough").
