Rock Band Music Coaster Set of 4 Reclaimed Wood Epoxy Resin
4 Wood and Epoxy resin rock band coasters featuring Guitars, Drums, and guitar pic with music notes, were made from reclaimed cedar desk pickets. I first cleaned them by running a few passes on the planer, followed by cutting the pieces into 3.5 inch squares. The blank squares are then loaded into the desktop CNC where it is programed to carve out the shapes of the instruments. After the parts are done being milled, any loose wood fibers are cleaned up, before mixing up a batch of colored epoxy. The carved out voids are then filled with a colored epoxy and left to cure over night. Once the color is hardened, the pieces are attached to a planer sled and get planed down smooth. Once planed down, a batch of clear epoxy is mixed up and and poured over the entire top surface of the coaster
