Lapo Binazzi, recreates Brunelleschi's Dome
FIDI professor, Lapo Binazzi, recreates an inflatable version of Brunelleschi's dome based on a design from 1968. The concept combines two principal areas of Binazzi's research, inflatable architecture and the architecture of Italian Highway Agency ‘ANAS’. Binazzi's dome reinterprets the dome of Brunelleschi on an unprecedented 1:5 scale and stands over 10 meters tall. Today Binazzi remains one of the most influential architects of the Italian Radical Design Movement from the 60's and 70's.
