Vienna, Austria <3 by jaime

Vienna on a grey morning. Vienna is one of the places I've lived. What you can't tell from this photo is just to the right is the Christkindlmarkt. They host this lovely Christmas market on Rathausplatz in Wien, Österreich, every year.

Il pittore Gustav Klimt posa con il suo gatto bianco e nero, nello studio di Josefstadt, Vienna, nel 1910 circa.

Gustav Klimt was an Austrian symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Secession movement. Klimt is noted for his paintings, murals, sketches, and other art objects.

Self-Portrait, Hand on Chest (1911–12, published 1912) Playing on his reputation as Vienna's "wildest beast," Kokoschka presents himself with the shaved head of a criminal and gestures to a wound on his right side in a blasphemous allusion to Christ. This image, which Kokoschka first made in 1910 to advertise the Berlin periodical Der Sturm, here announces a lecture by Kokoschka at a Viennese cultural institution in January 1912.

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) is a place that fuels creativity and provides inspiration. Its extraordinary art collection includes modern and contemporary art such as Self-Portrait, Hand on Chest (Selbstbildnis, Hand auf der Brust) (Oskar Kokoschka).

2012. 'Final Analysis' at the Abingdon Theatre In 1910 Vienna, a strange Young Man with dangerous ideas (Hitler) clashes with the brilliant minds of the day - Freud, Stalin, Wittgenstein, Gustav Mahler and his wife, Alma - and the world is changed forever. ***

A few too many characters and themes lessen the impact of Otho Eskin's "Final Analysis," a well-acted one-act in the Midtown International Theatre Festival.
