Agnolo di Cosimo or Il Bronzino (Italian, 1503-1572) ~ Eleonora di Toledo ~ He lived his entire life in Florence and modeled his painting style so closely to that of his mentor, Jacopo Pontormo, that art historians today still debate the credit of several paintings ~ Bronzino eventually became court painter to the powerful Medici family of Florence and gained notoriety for his portraiture style ~ His portraits proved to be his primary legacy.

May be associated with Virgil Solis print of rulers of Poland, Denmark and Sweden.
