I used regular tomatoes from my garden--1st removing the juice & seeds. Some I cut too thin since they were good-sized tomatoes. I would recommend using Romas & cut them in half. I checked them every hour or so & turned them over at 3 hours. I turned off the oven at about 7 hours & left them in there overnight. It was successful! To use them, soften in olive oil with herbs (optional). Adds a great punch to sauces. --c
