A Torino su  piazza San Giovanni si affaccia un edificio del XV secolo passato nel 1642 al cardinale Maurizio di Savoia e divenuto in seguito sede di uffici della Corte reale. E’ Palazzo Chiablese, così chiamato in quanto nel 1753 il re Carlo Emanuele III lo rimodellò per il secondogenito Benedetto Maria Maurizio, duca del Chiablese, ridisegnando la facciata e costruendo il maestoso scalone che conduce al piano nobile, ricco di arredi, stucchi, boiseries, specchiere e sovrapporte dipinte…
