We foster on a fairly regular basis which means accidents can and will happen. I've tried a lot of commercial products and homemade remedies in the past to remove the stains and odors which either weren't pet safe or they just didn't completely remove the odor. I don't remember where I came across this concoction but I've been using it for quite a while now because it works!
My go-to. There's no store bought spray I've ever used that adds up to Remove Cat Urine and Dog Urine from carpet quite like this one. Mix 1 part water, and 3 parts vinegar. Spray. Let it soak for 30 minutes. Mix 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide, 2 teaspoons of baking soda, and a squirt of dish-washing liquid. Shake it well. Spray, and let it soak/dry. Adjustments can be made for the measurements, to your liking.
Pet stain remover: Combine about 4 tablespoons baking soda, 1/8 cup hydrogen peroxide, and a couple table spoons water in spray bottle. Don't keep in closed container- contents under pressure. Solution does't keep; make as needed. SOLUTION WORKS ON CONTACT. NO NEED TO LET SET, IN FACT IT'S NOT ADVISED. ONE MUST USE A SMALL AMOUNT AND BE COMPLETELY SOPPED UP IMMEDIATELY SO AS NOT TO DISCOLOR CARPET.
