Robert Longo, Men in the Cities, 1981. He would have models come in, have balls thrown at them, and then take a picture. He liked the idea of physical distortion because he felt it was connected to an inner distress.
Robert Longo is an amazing artist focusing on hyperrealism at massive scale. Longo released a series of charcoal drawings centered around none other than the Great White Shark, titled "Perfect Gods". Longo's drawings are just as incapsulating as the footage we'll see of the "ferocious man eater" during this years Shark Week.
