No where else can make a sweet bread loaf like my hometown of Fall River, MA. It is a traditional recipe that is known to be brought over from the immigrants of São Miguel. This bread is most popular at Easter, but enjoyed year round.
So very glad I found this recipe! It is the same recipe my mother used when I was a child. A few differences in the steps (and no mention of putting dyed Easter eggs in it) but I think the outcome will be what I remember.
