Sergio Rossi born in the town of San Mauro Pascoli, Romagna, Italy. He inherited from his father, a shoemaker, the tools and the traditions of a great artisan. Sergio Rossi built his factory in San Mauro Pascoli in 1966, where the company still produces there, Sergio Rossi worked making sandals that he sold on beaches in Rimini, and boutiques in Bologna. His first sandal was The Opanca, a popular simple and daring sandal. In 1968, the first shoes with the Sergio Rossi brand was produced.
